Head of HeartLab

I am a highly motivated researcher interested in doing cutting-edge research innovation in cardiac diagnosis contributing to shape the technology of the future on noninvasive and invasive electrical mapping, electrical and optical mapping of cardiac fibrillation, electrocardiographic imaging and biophysical arrhythmia mechanisms. Over the past 11 years, I have focused on computational approaches and advanced signal and imaging processing analysis of: in silico models, animal models and patients, to allow identification of the dynamics of the wave propagation and associate cardiac mechanisms with the aims to improve current knowledge of cardiac arrhythmia, technology and therapy. Thus, I work aiming development world class research and translation research to improve healthcare at treatment of cardiac disease, through transdisciplinary and translatable biomedical engineering research.
