I am a student of the Bachelor of Science and Technology at the Federal University of ABC (UFABC). I intend to pursue Biomedical Engineering as my specific course. Currently, at HeartLab, I am conducting scientific research in the area of Hemodynamics, fluid mechanics applied to blood. My work, supervised by Professor João Lameu, aims at the numerical study of the hemodynamics of the left atrium in situations of diastolic dysfunction along with atrial fibrillation. Thus, my work aims to study diastolic dysfunction and atrial fibrillation from a hemodynamic perspective, understanding the outcomes related to the occurrence of regions conducive to thrombus formation, thereby contributing to diagnoses alongside healthcare professionals.
